Colorado Springs World Arena Will Host “Sweet 16” Class 5A Prep Basketball
Showdowns on February 28 and March 1.
The Colorado Springs World Arena (8,099 seats) will host part of the state’s
“Sweet 16” boys and girls Class 5A basketball showdown games as the state’s top
prep hoopsters battle for spots in the state championship finals in two
spectacular sessions on Wednesday, Feb.28 and Thursday, March 1.
The Budweiser Event Center near Loveland will host the other portion of the
tourney on the same dates.
Eight of the top 5A Girls teams will play in Colorado Springs on Feb.28 and the
5A Boys on March 1, with game times on each day at 2:30, 4:10, 5:50 and 7:30
p.m.
Pairings will be announced on “Selection Sunday,” Feb.18, at the ESPN Zone in
Denver at 3:00 p.m.
