What’s Happening in September at the Zoo!
T A Z (Tots at the Zoo) CLASSES: Pueblo Zoo will begin a new series of TAZ
(Tots at the Zoo) classes in September. The classes will meet in the Zoo’s
Classroom in the Education Building from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on September 12. The
classes will continue through October and November (October 10th and November
14th) and on completing on December 12th. The TAZ classes are designed for three
and four year olds, each accompanied by a parent or another adult. Each session
includes activities, game or craft, story time, live animals, a trip to one of
the Zoo’s exhibits, and a snack. The cost for each session is $8 for members,
$10 for non-members. Prepayment and registration are required. For more

SENIOR WEEK AND SENIOR SAFARI DAY – Once again, the Pueblo Zoo will be
celebrating senior citizens during the week of September 9-15, 2006. During the
entire week, all seniors 65 + are admitted free to the Zoo. Senior Safari will
be held on Wednesday, September 13th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. This
special day is one of the Zoo’s most heart-warming events of the year with
music, educational animal close encounters, games, refreshments and tours. Care
facilities and senior groups from all across southern Colorado come and enjoy
this day dedicated to seniors. The Pueblo Zoo is wheelchair accessible and Zoo’s
hours for the month of September are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through
Saturday and noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
