Adams State College

Adams State College is Colorado's premier public small college. Located in the San Luis Valley of south-central Colorado, it is surrounded by stunning mountains in Alamosa.

Small class size, a diverse student population, high quality faculty, and access across disciplines provide hands-on learning. Students discover their strengths in a supportive, friendly environment. Adams State is proud to offer one of the lowest tuition rates among four-year colleges in Colorado. In addition, a variety of financial aid and scholarship offerings make an Adams State education accessible to all.

Adams State has one full-time teaching professor for every 18 students, and academic advising is provided by full-time professors. Students may select from 17 majors and more than 40 minors and areas of emphasis. Pre-professional and master’s degree programs are also available.

Adams State College is the Regional Education Provider for southern Colorado and offers a range of distance education options through the Division of Extended Studies. Four Adams State College academic programs have won Program of Excellence Awards from the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.
