Cricket® shakes up the wireless industry in Colorado Springs

Hello, Colorado Springs! Introducing Cricket® service, a high-quality, affordable and predictable mobile phone service entering Colorado Springs on Feb 14, 2006. Cricket has Front Range residents covered with one, large home calling area for a flat rate spanning 3,295 square miles from Fort Collins to Pueblo. With the addition of Colorado Springs, Cricket now serves 86 percent of the potential customers or “covered POPs” in the state of Colorado.

“Launching our Cricket service on Valentines Day is perfect, as we believe Colorado Springs residents will love our unlimited mobile phone service due to our high-quality network and affordable, flat-rate calling plans,” said Matt Pulley, district director for Cricket. “We are thrilled to provide Cricket service to the Pikes Peak region, allowing us to expand our footprint across the entire Front Range.”

To kick off its launch on February 14th, Cricket is opening one retail store located at 2850 South Academy, at the corner of Hancock and Academy. In addition, Cricket service will be sold through 30 indirect retailers throughout the area.
