LA Auto Show
The big three automakers came out showing off the newest sheet metal in the
hybrid and crossover SUV categories. Overseas automakers are getting the biggest
portion of the auto market. Unlike the shrinking market of full-sized SUV’s, the
more versatile and sporty crossovers, such as the Infiniti FX and Toyota RAV4,
have been the fastest growing vehicle segment and comprise 43% of the total SUV
category in 2005. The latest Tahoe from GM indicates they will not take it
lightly as the newest edition is tough to beat. The LA Auto Show will now be
held in November, therefore not competing with the Detroit Auto Show.
